Dr. Swati Kumar received her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa, while also working alongside Dr. Sindt in her clinic as a student. Following her graduation, she continued her work in the University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology as a clinical technician until she began her academic career at the New England Collage of Optometry. In 2018, Dr. Kumar graduated with high honors before beginning her residency at Nova Southeastern University in primary care with an emphasis in cornea and specialty contact lenses. Since her graduation, Dr. Kumar returned to the University of Iowa to further her education on specialty lenses with Dr. Sindt. After spending several months at the University of Iowa, Dr. Kumar relocated to Lakewood, Colorado to serve as the staff optometrist at the EyePrint Prosthetics headquarters.
